How to start your Meeting Room

Starting a Meeting Room

Only FAs looking to find a successor or a buyer can start a Meeting Room on Practice Exchange.

To start a Meeting Room, select “Start a Meeting Room” from your Dashboard page. Alternatively, you can click on “Meeting Rooms” in the top menu.

Once in the Meeting Room, you’ll be given a page where you can select the type of room you want to pursue. There are two options to choose from:

  1. Succession: select this option to find a successor. You’ll work with your successor for a period of time until you are ready to transfer your firm over to them. It is recommended to have a 5 to 10 year runway for succession planning.

  2. Sale: select this option to find a buyer for your firm. If you’re looking to sell your firm, you’ll want to use the Meeting Room to connect with qualified buyers.
